Beelzebub (ベルゼブブ Beruzebubu) is the main protagonist of the Sand Land series. The son of Lucifer, he is the prince of the Demons.

Appearance

Beelzebub looks like a childlike demon with pink skin, spiky hair the same color as his skin, and a thin tail. He wears a lilac cape and black shorts, with yellow boots and white bracelets. He has pointy ears and horns the same color as his skin.

• This character is named after Beelzebub, another name given to the devil in the New Testament, which itself derives from Baal Zebub (lit. "the god of flies" though it was originally god of ALL THAT flies, not flies alone), the name of an ancient Phoenician idol.
