Sand Land (サンドランド Sando Rando?) is a manga written and illustrated by Akira Toriyama. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from June 2000 to September 2000, and it was later collected into a tankobon volume of 14 chapters and released on November 2, 2000 by Shueisha.[1] It has 224 pages and an ISBN: 4-08-873039-9 (JP) 1-978-159116-181-3 (US)

Viz Media later attained the rights to Sand Land and serialized it in Shonen Jump spanning from 12 issues in 2003. It was collected into a volume and released on December 24, 2003 in the United States.[2]

Plot[]

In the far future, war has destroyed the entire Earth, leaving only a barren wasteland where the supply of water is controlled by the greedy king. In search of a long-lost lake, Sheriff Rao asked the king of the demons for help...and got the king's son, Beelzebub, and his assistant, Thief. Together the unlikely trio sets off across the desert, facing dragons, bandits and the deadliest foe of all... the King's army itself!
